Hi! Everyone likes you so much. Could you please introduce yourself briefly?

My name is Chloe, and I’m from England.
大家好!我叫克洛伊,来自英格兰。
I first taught English in a township in South Africa four years ago, that was also my first experience of leaving the country by myself. It was a trip I will always cherish, and different to anything I’d ever experienced.
记得四年前,我第一次来到南非的一个乡镇教授英语,这也是我第一次独自离开这个国家。这是一次我将永远珍惜的旅行,与任何事情都不一样。
After I finished at University, I wanted to study for my TEFL qualification and teach abroad again. For half of 2016, I worked in a school in Spain as an English teacher. I was their first ever foreign teacher, and I gained the experience of working with bigger class sizes and a range of ages.
在大学毕业后,我想学习并拿到了TEFL资格,并再次去国外任教。2016年的半年时间里,我还在西班牙的一所学校当英语教师,我是他们第一位外籍教师,在那里接触的大班教学和广泛的学生年龄段让我获取了更多的教学经验。
I have wanted to live in China even before I went to university, ask any of my friends and family and they will tell you the same! In September 2017, I made the move to Hangzhou.

Can you tell me what is the difference between Hangzhou and your hometown?
This city is very different from home, my town has a population of just over 5000 people and you could walk from one side to the other in an hour. My quiet countryside town is surrounded by farms, fields and villages with the beach a 45-minute drive away.
这座城市和家很不一样,你能想象吗?我家乡的人口才刚刚超过5000人,你完全可以在一个小时内从一头走到另一城市的另一头。我宁静的乡村小镇被一片农场所包围,离美丽的海滩也仅仅只有45分钟的车程。
Hangzhou is such a beautiful city, and everyone has been so welcoming! I am determined to be able to speak Chinese, so I am learning as much as I can.
杭州是一个美丽的城市,每个人都很友好——也正因如此我决心要学会说中文,此刻我正在尽可能多地学习中文中(加油哟~)!

Why did you choose EF?
This job combines two things I love, teaching and travelling so coming here was an easy decision for me to make. Teaching at EF so far has been brilliant, filled with so many opportunities and experiences that I'm sure will help me to learn and progress.

玩中学,学中乐
学龄前儿童的任何学习都应在轻松愉悦的环境下进行,用玩耍的方式讲英文可以让孩子乐于参与其中。
例1:简单猜谜游戏,如“It’s red, it’s round, you can eat it. What is it?”“It’s an apple.”
例2:魔法箱猜物游戏(通过触摸后进行提问)“Guess, what’s this?” “Is it big? Is it small?”……
进行亲子阅读
不同年龄段的孩子有适合其发展特点的绘本,亲子阅读是与孩子开口互动的好机会。您可以尝试适时提问:
例1:关于人物“Who is in this book?”
例2:关于封面“What can you see (from the cover)?”“I can see……”
例3:是否喜欢故事“Do you like this story?” “Yes, I do./ No I don’t. Because……”
巩固日常交流
多次重复在生活中使用频繁的日常用语,可以让孩子更愿意开口说英文。
例1:生活过渡语Toys away/Wash your hands/Go to bed……
例2:日常问候Good morning/How are you?……
提供造句的机会
通过套用固定句式,家长可以把“填空”的机会留给孩子,增加孩子使用形容词创造句子的机会。
例1:描述天气“What’s the weather like today? ”“It’s cloudy today!”
例2:对看到的事物进行描述“What color is the dog?” “It’s brown.”
更多与孩子进行英文互动的小方法
播放英文的音频或视频,让孩子更多地听、看英文;请孩子当老师来教自己学英文,以此增强她/他的自信心以及兴趣;多带孩子去英文角走走,或举行英文游戏亲子活动;带孩子去国外旅行,让孩子多与说外语的人、外国人接触,和外国孩子交朋友,创造更自然的交流机会……
